We're hiring a Product Manager to lead Nava's member-facing products: the Nava Benefits app and the assistant inside it, our Slack and Teams apps for members, and the decision support that helps people compare plans, check doctors and networks, and understand what care will cost. When people hit a problem accessing care or a large bill, our products help them understand what's going on and connect them with an expert Advocate who can resolve it. You will own this product area and report to our co-founder and Chief Product Officer.
What makes this opportunity unique: Nava, a tech-enabled benefits brokerage backed by Thrive Capital and Google Ventures, is now part of Alliant, and that brings distribution most health tech companies never get. The products you lead will scale from today's members to millions of Americans. You will do it with a small team of builders, alongside a tech lead, a designer and engineers, where the lines between product, design and engineering are blurring and AI tools are part of how everyone works.
What you'll accomplish in the first year
- Own the member product area: Take over the roadmap for the app, the assistant, and the Slack and Teams experiences, and align the team and leadership on the outcomes that matter most.
- Bring members back all year: Build an engagement loop that gives members timely, personal reasons to return outside open enrollment, measured by how many come back month after month, not by how many ever logged in.
- Make decision support useful on day one: Ship plan comparison, provider and network checks, and pricing that help members from whatever data a client starts with, and get sharper as more data arrives.
- Turn what members ask into product: Work with our support team and Advocates to find the friction behind repeated questions, ship fixes, and verify that each one changed the member experience.
- Ship in smaller batches and learn faster: Prototype with AI tools before engineering commits, cut work into small releases that each deliver value, and shorten the time from idea to real member feedback.
- Get the app into more members' hands: Partner with product marketing and our client teams to tell a clear story about the member experience, so every new client launches it easily and adoption grows.
What you'll bring
We understand that your experience is more than just a list of requirements, so we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet all of the following bullet points.
- Ownership of a consumer- or member-facing product with real users, where you moved adoption, engagement or satisfaction and can show how you measured it.
- Taking a product or major feature from zero to one: designing discovery yourself and finding fit with a bias toward action.
- Hands-on building with AI tools: prototyping ideas yourself, and working in a codebase with agents such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor to make fixes and open pull requests.
- Turning business goals into a roadmap with engineering and design, and breaking complex work into small releases that teach you something.
- Using storytelling and data to align a team and senior stakeholders around a course of action.
- Experience in healthcare navigation, benefits or insurance is a plus.
A healthcare background is not required.
What you'll get
- Your own product area, reporting to the Chief Product Officer, with the room to set its direction.
- Reach: products that help people get care and avoid surprise bills, scaling to millions of Americans.
- A small team of builders where product managers prototype, AI tools are part of daily work, and good ideas ship fast.
- A remote-first company with a mission to fix healthcare and the tooling to do the best work of your career.
