Kaitlin Ruby-Carroll
Consultant Relations Director

Kaitlin Ruby Carroll is a Consultant Relations Director at Carrot Fertility, where she advises consultants and their clients on designing inclusive family-building and hormonal healthcare benefits. With a background in B2B tech and employee benefits, Kaitlin has earned recognition for her leadership and sales excellence at Carrot and Zenefits. She is passionate about expanding access to fertility care and helping employers deliver impactful healthcare solutions to their teams.

Brian Bartels
Partner

Brian leads the firm’s national health and welfare benefits practice. He advises clients across the country on group health plans, wellness programs, cafeteria plans, health savings accounts, health on mental health parity, No Surprises Act, HIPAA, ERISA, Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and COBRA compliance issues. He drafts and negotiates service agreements and business associate agreements for employee benefit plans; prepares plan-related documents, employee communications, and HIPAA policies and procedures; and counsels clients on benefit plan design and administration issues. He assists employers to respond to employer shared responsibility payments under the ACA, as well as inquiries from the Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor. He also advises clients on employee benefits issues in the context of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.

Ilana Mauskopf
Director of People and Talent Operations

IIana Mauskopf is the Director of People and Talent Operations at Nava Benefits. With a personal and empathetic approach, Ilana leads the strategic direction of Nava's hiring, culture, benefits, employee engagement and retention. Within this realm, she has a particular passion for helping companies (and their culture) scale and creating a psychologically safe environment for employees.

Before her role at Nava she was on the People Team at Datacamp where she oversaw team growth of 350% during her tenure. Additionally, she spent time in the recruiting space at Stack Overflow and Huxley Banking and Financial Services. Outside of work Ilana unwinds by practicing yoga, testing out new restaurants, and playing video games.
