Marie's expertise lies in alternative funding solutions, where she helps employers gain greater control and cost transparency. She takes a data-driven approach to consulting, turning insights into actionable strategies that deliver real value. Passionate about simplifying the complex, Marie focuses on outcomes that align with both business goals and employee needs.

Nick Allen
Chief Executive Officer

A Healthcare Actuary with 25 years of experience, Nick is passionate about blending actuarial science with technology, to build tools that help everybody become a healthcare expert.

Prior to founding Blue Raven, Nick was the Chief Actuary for USI’s retail brokerage business. While there, he drove national revenue growth by leveraging a unique blend of technology, modern actuarial analytics, and marketing.

Innovative roles like these required creative use of technology and deep knowledge of the healthcare industry. This distinctive foundation gave rise to the creation of Blue Raven Actuarial.

Nick graduated from Virginia Tech in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics. He received his Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries in December of 2009, is a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a Fellow in the Conference of Consulting Actuaries. He lives in Virginia with his wife, Catherine and his sons, Preston and Parker.

Tracy Awe is a health strategy leader with 17+ years of experience across payers, digital health, and employer benefits. As Director of Strategic Alliances at Function, she leads consultant relations and channel partnerships that make it easier for employers to offer proactive, data-driven health tools to their teams.

Tracy has held senior roles at Cigna and Pelago, focusing on product strategy and partner growth. She brings deep industry insight and a passion for scaling innovative health solutions that help people take charge of their health and thrive, both at work and beyond.
