Navigating the world of healthcare is no easy feat, especially when the system hasn’t historically been adaptive to diverse needs. Many individuals, particularly those assigned female at birth or those with specific reproductive health concerns, have long faced obstacles like trivialization of pain and underrepresentation in medical studies.

As HR, we’re tasked with supporting our people through their unique stages of life, and for many, this involves navigating constantly shifting healthcare needs. Let’s flip the script and focus our attention on how we can support all employees in addressing healthcare needs that don’t always get the attention they deserve.

In this peer discussion, we’ll cover how to build company policies and benefit packages that support reproductive health, including:

  • Menstrual leave
  • Bereavement leave and support for miscarriage and stillbirth
  • Postpartum support, such as ramp-back programs
  • Navigating perimenopause and menopause

This will be an open conversation among peers, and we’ll also have Nava partners, Rachel Aleknavicius and Merrell Botello, on the call to lend their expertise in finding resources and building benefits to support reproductive health at all life stages.
