Alex Cozort, Field Marketing Manager

Give us the Cliffs Notes of your career, pre-Nava.

I've been working in marketing and communications for over 10 years, but Field Marketing is where I shine brightest. My background is primarily within the education and EdTech space, so I'm pumped to have the opportunity to leverage my tech experience in the benefits industry here at Nava.

What made you want to join Nava?

Collaboration and the opportunity to work at a mission-driven company are both must-haves in my book. It was apparent very early into the interview process that Nava had a team of incredibly talented individuals that were eager to collaborate and laser focused on the mission to #fixhealthcare. This has proven true beyond my expectations since joining the team!

Which is your favorite Nava value?

My favorite Nava value is #beagreatcopilot. I believe we all have something to share with others and that we can learn from our peers.

Favorite part of Nava's culture?

Jam Sessions! The entire Nava team meets bi-weekly for an hour to brainstorm and share ideas around a set topic or initiative. As someone who loves brainstorming and collaboration, having the opportunity to connect with the entire Nava team on a bi-weekly basis to do just that is a dream come true!

Biggest piece of professional advice?

Never be afraid to ask questions. Whether it seems like a silly question or a difficult one, there's always room for growth and learning. Nine times out of ten, someone else is wondering the same thing but was too afraid to ask.

What's your favorite part of working remotely?

My favorite part about working remotely (at home) is having the opportunity to interact with my son and dogs here and there throughout the day. They're little rays of sunshine and I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to steal a kiss between meetings.
