After months of deep research into the benefits buying process, we're excited to launch the Nava Benefits Search Engine, the first resource of its kind built with community in mind.

Nava Benefits is on a mission to bring high-quality, affordable healthcare to all Americans, starting with the 49% who get insurance through their employer. Accomplishing this goal would be impossible if we accepted the status quo of benefits brokering. Rather, we have to jumpstart innovation in the benefits space, and then make sure it gets into the hands that need it.

We’ve been working closely with the HR community, both small and large employers, to identify the bottlenecks and challenges faced with the benefits exploration and buying process. Through our conversations with benefits decision-makers, we found a consistent theme: finding great benefits is incredibly overwhelming, time consuming, and frustrating. That’s because there’s no single place to find and compare benefits and providers.

Said differently, the employee benefits market has not made the offline to online transition yet. There is no Travelocity, Zillow, or Yelp for HR professionals. Instead, you’re left asking colleagues, posting questions to Slack groups, performing countless Google searches, or asking your broker. This current approach is hit or miss, and your broker’s expertise often prioritizes traditional legacy products.

Well, the expectations around work and benefits are changing fast, and now, more than ever, employers need to go the extra mile to take care of their employees ⁠— or risk losing out on talent. It’s time for benefits to catch up.

One of the most exciting parts of the Nava Benefits Search Engine is the fact that it’s the industry’s first and largest community-driven effort exclusively centered on employee benefits. We’ve integrated review functionality directly into the product ⁠— so you don’t have to make benefits decisions on your own any longer.
